Village Veterinary Hospital Policies

Appointments:

We encourage you to schedule an appointment for your pet if at all possible. We keep our doctors very busy, and it is just easier for you and your pet to have a scheduled time to see the vet. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. Also, for your convenience, drop–off appointments are available. A “drop-off” means that you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. We realize that things “happen,” and walk-ins are also welcome!

Pre-Surgical Policy:

We ask that no food or water be given after midnight the night before the surgery for dogs and cats. We strongly recommend pre-surgical blood work for any patients who have not had blood chemistry performed in the past six months (if the animal has been healthy).

Payments:

Payment is due at the time of service. Our office accepts cash, checks, and most major credit cards.

Equine Boarders:

We offer veterinarian care for clients that board their horses at our established horse boarding clientele. Please make sure that you have all the proper information filled out and returned to our office so that we can provide the best medical care possible.

Patient Arrival Policy:

For your protection and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
