Hi, my name is Matthew Tucker and I am the Registered Veterinary Technician here at Village Veterinary Hospital. While I was in veterinary technician school, I did a clinical rotation here in the spring of 2016 and I was hired as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and started working here in August 2016.
I am home grown from Albuquerque. I have a wife named Elisha and have been married to her for 12 years. We originally met in High School at a wrestling tournament but neither one of us remember each other because she thought jocks were dumb and blew me off at the time. Despite the time apart, we met up years later in college and the rest has been history. Together, we have a beautiful 7 year old little girl named Naomi. I am the only boy with three older sisters and we always had pets growing up, mostly dogs and cats.
I have studied at the University of New Mexico (UNM) and Central New Mexico Community College (CNM). I have earned a few degrees with my most recent one being Veterinary Technology. While in college, I studied Massage and Physical Therapy, Biology and Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Veterinary Medicine. For a long time, I was told that I was into high tech and high touch, for the most part that’s been pretty true. I really enjoy technology and medicine. My favorite subjects to study are Math and Science. I like to spend my time with my family playing games, watching movies, camping, fishing, hunting, and tutoring at CNM.
