How Does it work?

Laser therapy stimulates the healing from the inside. Non-thermal photons of light are administered to the body for approximately 3 to 8 minutes and absorbed by the injured cell. The cells are then stimulated and respond with a higher rate of absorption. With this results relief from pain, increased circulation, reduced swelling, and an acceleration of healing.

Applications for laser therapy include:

  • Pain Management (sprains, strains, stiffness)
  • Treatment of hip dysplasia, degenerative joint disease and arthritis.
  • Post surgical pain (ACL, spay, and exploratory)
  • Skin issues (hot spots, lick granulomas, infections)

What can my pet expect during a laser therapy treatment session?

When the treatment is started your pet could find themselves a little anxious in the beginning. However, as the session(s) continue your pet is able to relax and simply start feeling relief. Frequently, after therapy is done, the animal will show improvement. We have heard "They are acting like a puppy again." or "He is running around like his normal self." You will be amazed with the relief provided within just a few minutes.
